OUR MISSION

Purchasing for people and planet

Our Mission is to support the grassroots growth of a social procurement ecosystem for the USA. We do this by bringing together business, government and institutional buyers and facilitating the purchase of their everyday goods and service needs from third-party verified social enterprise and fair-trade business sellers. We share knowledge, help educate, connect and share best practice in the United States and around the world.

The United States is a unique country with differing state laws and no single business entity type for a social enterprise – it is also a country where grassroots impact work is strong and vibrant. When we founded Buy Social USA we wanted to support the local, regional and national ecosystems and provide a network of solutions to the barriers that could stand in the way of a thriving social procurement solution. For this reason we chose a network of networks approach.

Our Approach: Collaborative Ecosystem Builder

We follow a network-of-networks approach to support the local, regional and national ecosystems and provide a network of connected solutions to the barriers that could stand in the way of a thriving social procurement solution.
